Night WhispersEdit

Antpelt is seen to be training in the Dark Forest. In one of the training sessions, Antpelt gets his ear ripped by Thistleclaw, for not working together with Ivypaw as he had instructed. Some of his blood splashes onto her muzzle. At the end of the book, Ivypaw, as a spy, is horrified when Antpelt looks pleased when Thistleclaw announces that the end af the Clans is near.

Sign of the MoonEdit

Antpelt again appears in the Dark forest. He is fighting Ivypool, and allows her time to get up when she slips. Thistleclaw sees this, and, thinking that it is a sign of weakness, attacks him. Ivypool stops Thistleclaw and tells Antpelt to sleep and wake up back in WindClan. He then disappears into darkness.
At a gathering, Dovewing hears some WindClan cats talking about Antpelt. They are puzzled as to what has caused Antpelt to be covered in wounds. Later, she listens in on the WindClan camp. She sees Antpelt dying from his Dark Forest wounds. She hears many cats grieving for him, and he goes to the Place of No Stars upon his death.
On walking through the Dark Forest, Antpelt bumps into Ivypool. He tells her how he considers the Dark Forest cats to be better Clanmates than his fellow WindClan cats. He also says that though she may see it as he had died, he just sees it as staying constantly in the Dark Forest. He tells her that The Dark Forest is where he belongs, and then pads away into the misty Forest.
